Emerging Artist Residency (EAR) Program
The Imaginists' Emerging Artist Residency program offers subsidized studio space for emerging artists in Sonoma County.
An average art studio in Sonoma County costs about $400 per month. The Imaginists’ Emerging Artist Residency program provides low-cost, sliding scale, and/or work-trade options for artists between the ages of 18- 35.
As artists we understand how difficult it can be to maintain an artistic practice and build community while trying to make a living (afford rent) in the Bay Area. When the Imaginists purchased our building in 2017 (with the help of our Board of Directors, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and a grassroots community campaign) our vision was to create a building-wide space for creativity and experimentation, growing a diverse community around the core values of the Imaginists.
